👉 Event: WOMEN’S HEALTH CONFERENCE – UP cite – 24 au 26 SEPT 2025

The Quali-Dec team participated in the Women’s Health Conference: this third edition of the Women’s Health Conference (WHC) was held in Paris from September 24th to 26th 2025, under the auspices of Paris CitĂ© University. It brought together experts, researchers from various disciplines, practitioners, decision-makers and activists from around the world to discuss current and future challenges in women’s health. The WHC is a major international event launched by the Global Centre for Asian Women’s Health, the National University of Singapore, the Institute for Women’s Health at Paris CitĂ© University and the TH Chan School of Public Health at Harvard University.

This conference provided a unique opportunity to explore recent advances in women’s health, understand global challenges and propose innovative solutions to improve women’s health worldwide.

The Quali-Dec team is particularly pleased to have participated in this major event dedicated to information and improving women’s health, which are key areas of our project.

👉25/09/25: presentation at session 6 (4:00-5:30 p.m.) dedicated to the theme: â€˜Giving Birth by Cesarean – Medicalisation of Maternal Care and Women’s Health’:

Alexandre Dumont (Research Director at Ceped-IRD-UniversitĂ© Paris CitĂ© and Scientific Coordinator of the Quali-Dec project) presented: â€˜Optimising caesarean section use in LMICs’,

Rana Islamiah Zahroh (PhD, MPH -Research Fellow in Global Maternal Health, Gender and Women’s Health, Nossal Institute for Global Health School of Population and Global Health The University of Melbourne) presented: â€˜Profits over people: the commercialisation of caesarean birth in Indonesia’

Members of the team were also invited to present POSTERS of their STUDIES:

Truc Phuong NGUYEN (PhD Student in Clinical Epidemiology, UniversitĂ© Paris CitĂ© and UniversitĂ© Sorbonne Paris Nord, IRD, Inserm, Ceped) for her study on: â€œDecision Aid to promote shared decision-making about mode of birth in low-risk women within a hybrid trial (QD project) – implementation and effectiveness…”:

Cristina Lumia (Midwife, MSc, PhD Student in Nursing & Midwifery School of Medicine and Surgery University of Milano-Bicocca) for her study on: â€˜Impact of Community Midwifery Care on maternal and neonatal wellbeing in postnatal period…’.
