👉 Event: Quali-Dec teams presented the project results at the XLII SOGIBA International Congress in Argentina

Alexandre Dumont (scientific coordinator of the Quali-Dec project) travelled to join the Quali-Dec team from CREP (Centre Rosarino De Estudios Perinatales) in Argentina to present the project results at SOGIBA, the 42nd annual congress held from 4 to 6 June 2025 in Buenos Aires.

During this international obstetrics and gynaecology event, which brought together more than 4,000 healthcare professionals, Alexandre Dumont and Celina Gialdini (researcher at CREP) spoke to a packed audience to present one of the most notable results of the project, which is the significant reduction in caesarean sections in Argentina, where the Quali-Dec intervention has been most fully implemented and most effective. Indeed, it is in Argentina that some of the hospitals participating in the project have observed a significant reduction in caesarean section rates.

The Ramón Sardà Maternity Hospital (one of the eight hospitals participating in the project) also gave a presentation describing the qualitative improvement in patient care and decision-making regarding the mode of delivery.

This was followed by high-level discussions and exchanges on the topic of caesarean sections in relation to the Quali-Dec project.
